Making e-Infrastructures Sustainable
Event Scope / Purpose
The Joint GISELA-CHAIN Conference will be held in Mexico City, Mexico from June 27th to 29th 2012. It is hosted by the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México (UNAM) and supported by RedCLARA and CUDI. Its aim is to be both an Open Conference and a User Forum and its Scientific Programme is conceived to reach two main objectives:
- Present outstanding results obtained by Scientific Communities using e-Infrastructures with focus on the advent of the new VRC-driven Science Gateway (SG) and their first outcomes;
- Under the auspices of RedCLARA, discuss policies and plans for the long-term sustainability of SG-based Advanced Computing Services, with special emphasis on Latin America.
All e-Infrastructure stakeholders, including students interested to know more about Distributed Computing Infrastructures are welcome to participate and contribute.

Invitation Letter
If you need an invitation letter, please send an e-mail to Herbert Hoeger providing your name, institution and address. Such a letter is generally requested to get a visa.
Visas
Please check with the appropriate consulate / embassy whether or not a visa is necessary to get in the country of the event. If you requested support and it was approved (GISELA Support Request), HLP will only purchase your travel ticket upon presentation of the visa issued. Do not forget that, the latter you obtain your visa, the latter your ticket will be bought by HLP, risking its price to exceed the maximum allowed reimbursement for travel expense.
Vaccination
Please check carefully whether or not you need to be vaccinated to get in the country of the event.
